Project: Alliances for Coconut Industry Development for the Caribbean
Coverage: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago

Development Goals: Increase food availability and reinforce incomes of small scale farmers
Beneficiaries: Smallholder coconut farmers, plantation operators, owners and workers, coconut producing and processing communities, youth and women in coconut and coconut product processing and marketing, SME coconut products manufacturers

Phase I: January 2015 – December 2018
Phase II: August 2019 – June 2023

Regional Impact to Date
• Sector governance improved with more than 200 public and private stakeholders in 11 NSPs across the region
• 45 nurseries established and/or supported servicing than 5,000 farmers in the Caribbean
• 30 agro-processors with improved capacity and linkages with smallholder farmers
• Technical cooperation and in-kind contributions with more than 60 private and public local institutions across the region
• Transfer of knowledge and improvements in technical cooperation among numerous regional an international partners such as CICY, CIRAD, EMBRAPA, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines
• Revision of regional standard of Coconut Water
